About

The Shilla Seoul

The Shilla Seoul sits in the Jung-gu district, about a 25-minute walk from Namsan Park. With 464 rooms, the hotel pairs city convenience with a resort-like feel — two pools, a full-service spa, and dining options that guests consistently praise.

Rooms are designed for comfort, with soundproofing, tea and coffee facilities, and separate tubs and showers in many categories. The property also hosts a business centre and meeting spaces, making it a practical base for both leisure and work.

In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Top-tier wellness facilities — Guests consistently highlight the Guerlain Spa, spacious indoor pool, saunas, and a large gym.
  • Service that stands out — Staff are repeatedly described as courteous, friendly, and attentive, from housekeeping to the restaurant team.
  • Views over Seoul and Namsan — Rooms and common areas offer glimpses of N Seoul Tower and the surrounding hills, adding to the stay.
–

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Hilltop location can be tiring — The hotel sits on a hill, which some guests found tricky after a long day of exploring — though on-site parking helps.
  • Facilities rating lags behind — While rooms and service score highly, the facilities category is rated lower at 6.1, suggesting some areas may feel dated or less polished.
  • Adults-only policy — The hotel is adults only, so it may not suit families travelling with children, despite offering a children's menu.
